As some of you know, and for those who do not, we have been going through a struggle the last 5 ½ years as my wife Jeannie was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease and 1 ½ years ago was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease aka Kidney Failure. Jeannie was on daily dialysis for 9 hours a day every day since her failure.
We have been dealing with this disease in our own private way and all our friends and our family have made the daily struggles seem bearable. Especially Our Grand Babies Chloe and Olivia, they are a gift from God when the light was dimming, we could not love them more and they could not love their Grammy more either! 🙂
Our kids have been more than generous and helpful for us as we slowly went broke and us being unable to work due to the dialysis and the numerous weekly and bi-weekly doctors appointments/treatments and such.
So now we get to where we are today, we have been waiting for a transplant donor and my son Eric bravely signed up to donate his kidney to another family if they had a match for Jeannie, and on March 4th 2015, Eric donated his kidney and Jeannie received a successful transplant from another family! We are excited and feel blessed yet it is going to leave us with a lot of bills and expenses to have to deal with.
We have always been a self-sustaining family but this is going to be a little overwhelming for us in the next few months and years to come.
We have set up a Medical trust fund for Jeannie so as to offset some of the expenses with the transplant procedure and recovery and of course the medication expenses that will be needed the rest of Jeannie’s life.
I understand that money is tight and we all have our problems to deal with but I just wanted to let anyone of our family and friends to know that if they wanted to help that there is a way set up now to do so.
We have been married almost 34 years and are still praying for many more to come and we want you all to know that whether you can help or not, you have all made our lives a little happier and bring a smile to our faces all the time!
Thank you for taking your time to read this and we hope you all have a wonderful day.
Bubba and Jeannie
